We participated in the World Buiatrics Congress to learn about the latest news and scientific research at an international level as well as to exchange knowledge with veterinarians, scientists and consultants.

Biotechnological solutions as key in the prevention and management of FMD outbreaks

When we talk about a sanitary emergency, we are referring to the appearance or outbreak of a given disease in a place or region where it was not present previously. If we consider the global hyper-connectivity between regions, people, animals, and goods it’s not hard to see the current risk for different strains of microorganisms to re-emerge, circulate and transcend country borders has increased.

This context represents a risk that must be contemplated by the authorities responsible for maintaining the sanitary status of the countries, as well as members of the animal health industry, to implement programs that help prevent and control the outbreak of these diseases. A clear example of this is Foot and Mouth Disease. FMD, is a highly contagious and transboundary viral disease, which has the capacity to generate incursions into free countries or zones, generating new outbreaks that activate the sanitary emergency.

First shipment of FMD vaccines to Indonesia

We sent out the first shipment of #FMD vaccines to control the current outbreak in Indonesia.

A country that has kept a #FMD free status for more than 35 years according to World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).

The full shipment of Aftogen Oleo, a monovalent vaccine with proven efficacy attending outbreaks in different countries and species, will be completed between August and September.

At @Biogenesis Bagó we have been working on the prevention and control of #FMD around the world for more than 70 years. Our history in attending #FMD outbreaks such as Vietnam (2018-2019), South Korea (2016), Uruguay (2002), Argentina (2001) and Taiwan (1997), has positioned us as strategic allies to health authorities around the world.

Sự kết hợp thực tế giữa cả 3 phân khúc được tạo ra nên một đặc biệt chương trình tại một địa điểm duy nhất và quy tụ nhiều công ty trong ngành nuôi, thức ăn nuôi và chế độ biến, đại diện cho toàn bộ giá trị động vật từ sản xuất cho đến thụ.

We started a new #TechTransfer project in South Korea!

At Biogénesis Bagó, we continue to grow and strengthen our position as a global reference in the production and transfer of technologies related to developing vaccines against foot and mouth disease.

Together with the Korean company FVC, we will build a manufacturing facility that will feature world-class technologies for producing up to 100 million doses per year of #foot-and-mouth disease vaccines.

We aim to work with health authorities to supply their market with safe, world-class FMD vaccines, generating more accessible solutions for local livestock producers, and helping to protect Republic of Korea’s sanitary status.

Our experience and global recognition in controlling foot and mouth disease, together with our professionals’ expertise in similar projects around the world, allow us to continue working for the evolution of animal health.
